When is an injection needed?
The main reason for needing an injection is when symptoms are severe and a tablet form of treatment may not be effective; or due to vomiting, a tablet may not be practical. Most injections will work for 6-8 hours to control symptoms.
It is very important that you know exactly what is being injected into you and what are the intended benefits and side-effects. If you think you will not remember the name ask for it to be written down.

There are a number of reasons why a blood test may be required. It may be for investigating the cause of an illness, routine monitoring for a known medical condition or as part of a routine health check-up. It is ideal for you to discuss what tests need to be done in advance to make sure it is appropriate to your situation.

We take responsibility for taking the blood sample, sending it to the lab and getting your results back at the office. All you need to do is arrange to come back to discuss the results.
Almost all of the commonly requested tests will have results available within 2 working days.

Fees for blood tests are additional to any consultation fees and are chargeable on the day the test is taken.

Medical Certificates or
'Sick Leave'
It is not the policy of the office to do medical certificates without seeing you as a patient.
If you have been seen previously and the certificate relates to that visit, we are happy to facilitate this. If the certificate relates to a separate illness for which you have not been seen, you will have to have a consultation to determine whether it is appropriate to issue a certificate.
